Aishath Eiman Latheef

Aishath Eiman Latheef has aquired Bachelor's degree in Shari'ah and Law (Honours) from Maldives National University. Eiman holds both a lawyer's practicing license and a notary public. Eiman has pursued a Masters in Social Policy, further enhancing her capacity to address intricate legal matters within the broader societal context.

Eiman advises clients on various commercial matters, including contract drafting, negotiating, trademarks, debt collection and regulatory compliance. She has represented clients in commercial litigation cases regarding real estate and various other contractual issues. She additionally conducts legal research, prepares legal documentation and advises to clients to mitigate legal risks in order to achieve favourable outcome.

Her extensive background showcases invaluable experience gained at the Family Legal Clinic, a pro bono legal clinic, where she refined expertise in family and domestic violence cases.

Eiman has also made substantial contributions to the Ministry of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and Maldives Pension Administration Office, enriching her understanding of legal, administrative and regulatory aspects. A strong emphasis on debt recovery underscores her approach, reflecting a comprehensive perspective on legal matters.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Eiman plays an active role in the Public Interest Law Centre, a pro bono NGO that is fervently committed to serving socially and economically marginalized groups and individuals.
