An opportunity to lease an island in Maldives

The Government of the Republic of Maldives has announced a public tender for the lease, development, operation and management of tourist resorts in the various uninhabited islands of Maldives – and we believe we can assist you win your bid for one of those islands.

With an estimated total of 1192 islands and 188 inhabited islands, the Maldives still has plenty of islands that it can offer for the tourism industry in addition to the 155 islands that are already in operation as tourist resorts. Tourism is the largest economic industry in the Maldives, and thus, the best industry for you to invest in.

The Government of Maldives has once again opened an invitation for bidding for the Lease, Development, Operation and Management of Tourist Resorts. There are 18 different islands from which you can choose from. Interested parties must purchase the Bidding Document from the Ministry of Tourism. The price of purchasing the Bidding Document for foreign entities is USD 3250 and USD 2250 for locals. Sale of the Bidding Document is now ongoing and with the extension that the Ministry of Tourism has given last week, it will remain open until 17th March 2022. This is by far one of the lowest island acquisition costs opened by the Ministry.

Failure to purchase the Bidding Document by 17th March 2022 would mean that you will miss out on this great investment opportunity. The Tourism Ministry of the Maldives will adhere to the strict deadlines for the bidding process and if you miss out the deadlines, then there will be no second chance such as this.

The 18 islands which you can choose from are located in 10 different atolls in the Maldives. The bid submission date for the islands of the 4 Northernmost atolls (Haa Alif Atoll, Haa Dhaal Atoll, Shaviyani Atoll and Raa Atoll) among the 10 islands is at 10:00 AM of 22nd March 2022, while the bid submission date for the islands of the Southernmost atolls (Laamu Atoll, Gaaf Alif Atoll and Gaaf Dhaal Atoll) is at 10:00 AM of 23rd March 2022. The bid submission date for the islands located in the midmost atolls (Meemu Atoll, Faafu Atoll and Thaa Atoll) is at 13:00 PM of 22nd March 2022.
